Impact IT Academy may, when subsidised places are available, approve either a 50% course-fee reduction or a full course-fee exemption for an eligible learner who cannot afford the normal course fee.

This is an application only. Submitting this form, meeting the financial requirements or sending supporting documents does not guarantee assistance, course admission or a place in any intake.

Assistance is available only when a suitable subsidised position and classroom space are available. There is no guaranteed assessment or response timeframe. Impact IT Academy may contact an applicant only when more information is required or when a suitable place becomes available.

Impact IT Academy does not provide transport, transport money, meals, accommodation, mobile data, computers, stationery, clothing, cash payments or any other financial or material assistance.

The application reference will appear after submission and will also be sent to the applicant's email address.

Required documents

Learner's South African ID, birth certificate or passport.
ID or passport of Parent/Guardian/Adult 1.
ID or passport of Parent/Guardian/Adult 2 where those details were supplied.
A municipal account not older than three months, a lease or rental agreement, or another acceptable proof of address.
The most recent three consecutive months of bank statements for the relevant parents, guardians, adult learner and other income-contributing household members.
Applicable proof of income, such as payslips, SASSA proof, pension proof, UIF documents, maintenance records, self-employment records or an unemployment declaration.

Phone photographs are accepted

A scanner is not required. Documents may be photographed using a mobile phone. The full page and all four corners must be visible, the writing must be clear, the image must be upright, and there must be no glare, shadow, finger or object covering information. Every page of a multi-page document must be included.

Clear photographs, screenshots and downloaded PDF documents are accepted. If attachments are too large for one email, they may be sent in more than one email using the same subject line.

Security warning

Never email a bank card PIN, online-banking password, email password, one-time PIN, full photograph of a bank card or any account password. Bank statements must show the account holder's name, statement period, income deposits and relevant transactions. Unnecessary account-security details may be covered provided that the required information remains visible.

Application Conditions

This form is an application only. Submitting it does not guarantee a 50% reduction, full exemption, admission to a course or placement in any intake. Assistance is limited and is available only when a suitable subsidised position, course and classroom place are available.

There is no guaranteed timeframe for assessment or response. Impact IT Academy may contact the applicant only if more information is needed, the application is being assessed or a suitable place becomes available. An applicant may not receive a response when no suitable subsidised position becomes available.

Impact IT Academy determines the level of any approved assistance. Assistance cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash or applied to another learner or unrelated service.

Incomplete, false, misleading or unverifiable applications may be rejected. Approved assistance may be withdrawn if information is later found to be false or if the learner repeatedly fails to attend, commits serious misconduct or does not comply with required course conditions.

Impact IT Academy does not provide transport, transport money, meals, accommodation, mobile data, computers, stationery, clothing, cash or other financial or material assistance.

Privacy Notice

Impact IT Academy will use the information supplied to assess and administer this Course Fee Assistance Application, verify household and financial circumstances, contact the applicant when necessary and manage any approved subsidised position. Information will not be used for unrelated marketing.

Application information and supporting documents will be accessible only to authorised persons and service providers who require access for the application process. Information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for assessment, administration, legal obligations or dispute resolution and will then be securely deleted or destroyed where reasonably practicable.
